Machu Picchu and Vinicunca Tour 5 Days – 4 Nights
Day 1: Cusco City Tour
Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport. They will hold a sign with your name on it. Upon arrival, they will take you to your hotel. There, you can enjoy a delicious coca tea. Afterward, you’ll have the option to stroll through the nearby streets or relax at your hotel until your tour begins. We’ll pick you up at 1:00 PM to begin your tour. We’ll visit two sites within the city: the Cathedral and the Temple of Santo Domingo, also known as Coricancha. Then, we’ll head to the outskirts of the city where we’ll visit four archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends in Cusco at approximately 6:20 PM.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas + overnight in Aguas Calientes
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel between 8:00 AM and 8:20 AM, introduce you to your guide, and then begin the tour. We will travel for 40 minutes to reach the first point, the Corao viewpoint. Here, the guide will provide more details about the day’s visit. We will then arrive in Pisaq, where we will have some free time to walk through the artisan market. At the end, we will go up to the archaeological complex with the group. Following the guide’s instructions, we will head by car to Urubamba, where a delicious buffet lunch awaits us (included). At the end of our tour, we will stop in Ollantaytambo, where the guide will give us all the details about this immense Inca fortress. At the end, we’ll head to the train station and board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you and will escort you to your hotel. In the evening, our guide will pick you up to give you instructions on the tour to Machu Picchu.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Full Day
After breakfast, we’ll head to the bus station and board the bus. Upon arrival at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, our guide will be waiting for you. This is where our 2-hour and 30-minute tour begins. During this time, we’ll visit the water fountains, terraces, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. Upon arrival, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes, where we can enjoy a delicious lunch (included). In the afternoon, we’ll head to the train station, board the train, and upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our staff will be waiting for you and will transport you to Cusco and then to your hotel.
Day 4: Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca
We will pick you up between 4:00 AM and 4:20 AM. We will board our vehicle and head south of the city to Cusipata – Paucarpata. Here, a delicious breakfast awaits us. We will continue our journey to the mountain’s control booth. Here, the guide will give us some instructions. Our hike uphill will take 1 hour and 30 minutes. During the hike, we will appreciate beautiful landscapes, snow-capped mountains, flora and fauna (llamas, alpacas, etc.). Upon arrival, our guide will provide us with all the information we need about this wonderful place and give us some free time to take souvenir photos. At the end, we will return for another 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will board the vehicle and return to Cusipata. Here, a delicious lunch awaits us. At the end, we will return to Cusco.
Day 5 Farewell and transfer to Cusco Airport
After a delicious breakfast, we will pick you up and take you to the Cusco airport, approximately 15 minutes from the city center. Our services will conclude at this point.
