Day 1: Welcome to Cusco – City Tour
Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name on it and will transport you to your hotel. Here you can rest or, if you wish, stroll through the nearby streets until the tour starts. We will pick you up at 1:00 PM, introduce you to our guide, and then begin your tour. Within the city, we will visit the Cusco Cathedral and the Temple of Santo Domingo, also known as Coricancha. Then, we will head to the outskirts of the city. In this area, we will see four archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends in the city at approximately 6:20 PM.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas + overnight in Aguas Calientes
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, our staff will pick you up. We’ll board the vehicle and head out of the city for about 40 minutes. Our first stop is Mirador de Corao. Here, the guide will provide more details about the places we’ll visit that day. Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive at Pisaq. The guide will give us a few minutes to explore the artisan market on our own. At the end, we’ll join the group and board the vehicle to travel to the archaeological complex. After the explanations, we’ll head towards Urubamba, where a delicious lunch awaits us (included). Finally, as the last visit of the tour, we visit Ollantaytambo, also known as the Ollantaytambo Fortress. After completing our visit to this wonderful place, we will head to the train station, board our train, and upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our staff will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. Our guide will stop by later to provide you with all the instructions for the tour to Machu Picchu.
Day 3: Tour to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the bus station, board our bus, and take a 30-minute ride to reach the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. Here, your guide will be waiting for you and begin your tour. The tour will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which you will be able to see the water fountains, terraces, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. Upon arrival, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where a delicious lunch awaits us (included). We will then go to the train station, board the train, and upon arrival at Ollantaytambo, our staff will be waiting for you. They will transfer you to Cusco and then take you to your hotel.
Day 4: Maras Salt Mines – Moray Archaeological Complex
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel (8:20 a.m.), board our vehicle, and travel to the town of Maras, approximately a 45-minute trip. We will then visit the Maras Salt Mines, a space with more than 2,000 pools where we can appreciate this mineral (salt). Our next visit is the Moray archaeological complex, a group of enormous pools with terraces inside. It is said that our ancestors used them to conduct research on which plants grow at certain temperatures, and each terrace maintains a different temperature. The tour ends in Cusco at approximately 2:20 PM.
Day 5: Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca
A day full of adventure. Our staff will pick you up between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM. We will board our vehicle bound for Cusipata – Paucarpata, where a delicious breakfast will be waiting for us. We will continue our journey until we reach the mountain entrance control booth. Here, the guide will give us time to prepare and provide instructions for the hike. The ascent takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. During the journey, we will appreciate beautiful landscapes, snow-capped mountains, rivers, and, above all, the local wildlife (alpacas, llamas, etc.). Upon reaching the summit, at approximately 5,020 meters above sea level, the guide will explain everything about this wonderful place. At the end, we’ll have free time to take souvenir photos, and then we’ll return to Cusipata, where we’ll have a delicious lunch. We’ll finally return to Cusco at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Day 6: Transfer to Cusco Airport and Farewell by the Agency
After a delicious breakfast, our staff will pick you up at your hotel (a time previously agreed upon between the two of you). We’ll then transfer to the Cusco airport, approximately a 15-minute drive. This is where our agency says goodbye.
