Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes Tour 4 Days – 3 Nights
Day 1: Welcome and City Tour of Cusco
On this day, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name on it. We will then transfer you to your accommodation. Here, you will be able to enjoy a delicious coca tea, a drink that will greatly help your body adjust to the altitude of the city. Our staff will pick you up for your tour at 1:00 PM. We will introduce you to the guide, and your tour will begin. We will visit two very important sites within the city: the Cathedral and Coricancha. We will then depart by car for the outskirts of the city (20 minutes) where we will visit four archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends in the city center at approximately 6:20 PM.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas with overnight in Aguas Calientes
Our staff will pick you up at 8:10 a.m. You will board the tour vehicle. We will depart the city (40 minutes). We will visit the Corao Lookout, where the guide will provide more information about the day’s activities. We will then arrive at Pisaq. Here, the guide will give us some free time to explore the artisan market. At the end, we will head to the archaeological complex with our guide. The guide will provide us with all the information about these structures. At the end, we will travel to Urubamba, where we will have a delicious buffet lunch. Continuing our tour, we will arrive at the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. The guide will also provide us with all the details about this fortress. At this point, we will stay until we can board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to escort you to your hotel. That night, our guide will stop by your hotel to provide you with all the instructions for your tour to the wonder of Machu Picchu.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Sanctuary
On this day, according to the schedule on our bus ticket, we will go to the bus station. We will have a short 30-minute ride to reach the Machu Picchu checkpoint. We will present our ticket and ID. Here, our guide will be waiting for you, and our tour will begin. We will visit some of the most important sites in the citadel: the water fountains, terraces, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. The tour is scheduled to last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. At the end, we will board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. In the town, you will have a delicious buffet lunch (included). At the end, you will have to go to the train station in Aguas Calientes (30 minutes in advance). You will board your train to Ollantaytambo. Here, our staff will be waiting to transport you to Cusco and then to your hotel.
Day 4: Farewell and Transfer to the City Airport
After a delicious breakfast, our staff will pick you up and transfer you to the city airport. This is approximately a 15-minute drive. Upon arrival, our services will conclude here.
