Machu Picchu and Humantay Lagoon Tour 5 Days – 4 Nights
Day 1: Welcome and City Tour
Our staff will meet you at the airport with a sign with your name on it. They will then transfer you to your hotel. There, you will be able to taste the famous coca tea, a very important drink to help you get used to the city’s altitude. Afterward, you can walk through the surrounding streets or, if you wish, relax until your tour time. Our transfer will pick you up at 1:00 PM. You will be introduced to the guide, and your tour will begin. You will visit two important sites within the city: the Cathedral and the Temple of Santo Domingo, also known as Coricancha. Afterward, we will board our vehicle and head out to the outskirts of the city. Here, you will visit Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends in the city at approximately 6:20 PM.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour + Overnight in Aguas Calientes
Very early after a delicious breakfast, our staff will pick you up (8:00 a.m. – 8:10 a.m.), introduce you to the guide, and begin your tour. We will leave the city until we reach the Mirador de Corao. Here, the guide will provide more details about the places you will visit that day. Continuing our route, we will arrive at Pisaq, where we will have some free time to visit the Artisan Market. At the end, we will regroup and climb the archaeological complex. We will have our guide and, at the end, we will head towards Urubamba, where a delicious buffet lunch awaits us (included). Finally, for our last visit, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the lower part of the archaeological complex. At the end, we will have to go to the train station and board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you. They will take you to your hotel. Day 3: Tour to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary
Very early after our delicious breakfast, we will head to the bus station. We will board the bus (a 30-minute ride). Upon arrival at the checkpoint, our guide will be waiting for us. This is where our tour begins: 2 hours and 3.5 minutes of pure information. We will visit the most important sites: the water fountains, terraces, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. At the end, we will board the train back to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we will have a delicious lunch (included). Finally, we will go to the train station (30 minutes before departure time). We will board the bus. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our staff will be waiting for you and will take you on our tourist bus to Cusco. We will then transfer you to your hotel in the city.
Day 4: Humantay Lagoon Tour
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 AM and 4:20 AM. We will board the vehicle and travel to Mollepata. Here, a delicious breakfast awaits us. Then, we will continue our journey to Soraypampa. At this point, the guide will give us directions to begin our hike. The climb will take 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this journey, you will appreciate beautiful landscapes, snow-capped mountains, small rivers, and the local flora and fauna (alpacas, llamas, etc.). At Humantay Lagoon, at 4,200 meters above sea level, our guide will provide you with all the information you need to know about this beautiful lake. At the end, you will have free time to take souvenir photos. Finally, we will return to Sorapampa. We will board our vehicle and head to Soraypampa, where a delicious lunch awaits us. At the end, we will return to Cusco.
Day 5: Transfer to the Airport
Our staff will pick you up two hours before your flight time and transport you to the city’s airport, about 15 minutes from the city center. Here, our agency will bid you farewell and conclude our services.
