Day 1: Welcome and City Tour of Cusco
Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name on it and will transport you to your hotel. Here you can enjoy a delicious coca tea. Afterward, you can walk through the nearby streets or, if you wish, relax in your room until your tour departs. We will pick you up at your hotel at 1:00 PM. We will visit two very important sites within the city: the Cathedral and the Temple of Santo Domingo – Coricancha. We will then visit four sites outside the city: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends in the city at approximately 6:20 PM.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas
After a delicious breakfast, our staff will pick you up at your hotel, board our vehicle, and depart for the tour of the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be the Mirador de Corao, where your guide will provide you with all the details of the day’s visit. Continuing the journey, we will arrive at Pisaq. The guide will give us some free time to explore the Artisan Market on our own. At the end, we will go up to the archaeological complex with the group. We will receive information from the guide. At the end of the visit to this beautiful place, we will travel to Urubamba, where a delicious buffet lunch awaits us. Continuing the journey, our last stop will be the town of Ollantaytambo, where our guide will provide you with all the information about this fortress. At the end, we will stay in Ollantaytambo. Here we will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to take you to the hotel. At night, the guide will meet us to provide more details about the tour to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Full Day
First, we’ll go to the bus station. The trip takes 30 minutes to reach the checkpoint. Here, our guide will be waiting for us and our tour will begin. We’ll spend approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes exploring important sites in the citadel, including the water fountains, terraces, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. At the end, we’ll board the bus that will take us back to the town of Aguas Calientes. A delicious buffet lunch awaits us here (included). Finally, you’ll arrive at the train station 30 minutes early to board your train to Ollantaytambo. Here, our staff will be waiting for you and will take you to Cusco and then to your hotel.
Day 4: Maras Salt Mines – Moray
After a delicious breakfast, our staff will pick you up from your hotel at 8:20 a.m. We will leave the city for a 40-minute drive to reach the town of Maras. This is where our first visit will be the Maras Salt Mines, with more than 2,000 pools measuring 2 meters in diameter. Here we will be able to appreciate how this mineral is created and how people work it. Afterward, we will continue our journey to the Moray archaeological complex, with enormous terraced pools. It is said that in ancient times the Incas used them to investigate the temperature at which plants grew, as these terraces have different temperatures. Finally, we will return to Cusco at approximately 2:20 p.m.
Day 5: Farewell by the agency and transfer to the airport
Our staff will arrive at your hotel two hours in advance and take you to the airport for about a 15-minute ride. This concludes our services. We wish you a safe trip.
